Artist Statements: 2006

I strive to have my work come from a spontaneous connection with nature. Not necessarily by participating in the act of being “in” nature but by the act of being nature. I find in the process of creativity the flow of nature naturally runs threw my hands. I believe when we realize that we are nature ourselves a basic development of form and beauty resonates from us. We become aware of beauty and it manifests threw our ability to become what we truly are, pure beings of nature. The enviroment is not something outside ourselves, we are our enviroment we create, destroy, live and we die as everything dose. We are no different than anything else. As humans we manifest what we see as beautiful, lovely and delightful, we leave in our wake what we call waste, destruction and decay. Just as in “nature” we see it as both loving, kind and beautiful, also brutal, cruel and disgusting. There is no difference between nature and us as we are one in the same.
